According to the latest data from the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce. There have been 1,168,430 new claims since March of last year. For the week ending May 8, claims went up from the week before from 7,872 to 8,194, an increase of 322 from last week. Continued claims decreased from 49,271 to 50,376, up 1,105 from last week. In Warren Co. there are 315 continued claims, down 4 from last week and 59 initial claims, down 4 from the previous week. White Co. has 160 continued claims, up 14 from last week and 20 initial claims, down 8. Van Buren has 25 continued claims and 6 initial claims.
