Plane Makes Parachute Landing

A small plane crashed Wednesday morning near Spencer Road on Highway 30.
According to Sheriff Tommy Myers of the Warren Co. Sheriffs Department. a Cirrus SR-22 plane was traveling from Tennessee to North Carolina when the pilot, Lesa Garner of Nashville said the plane suddenly lost oil pressure. They attempted to turn around and head to the Warren Co. Airport but the engine died and had to deploy the plane’s parachute.The plane came to a rest on a greenhouse at Larry Walker;s Nursery on Highway 30. The pilot was not injured and neither were the two passengers, David and Deborah Travis of Buchanon, Tn.
The owner of the plane is a company called Blue Yonder. The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the crash.
