Man Charged Selling Drugs In School Zone

A Rock Island man was arrested Wednesday evening for possession of drugs at his residence near a school zone.
According to Sheriff Tommy Myers of the Warren Co. Sheriffs Department, 26 year old Devin Austin Duke of Teakwood Circle was found in possession of one ounce of fentanyl, 5.5 grams of cocaine, 100 Xanax pills, 3.5 ounces of marijuana, several thousand dollars in cash and two unregistered handguns. He was also found with digital scales and drug paraphernalia. Myers said Duke told officers that he was jobless and sold drugs to support himself.
Duke was charged with Schedule 2 fentanyl, and Schedule 4 and 5 Xanax pills and Schedule 6 drugs and unlawful possession of a handgun. All charges were done in a school zone area near Eastside Elementary.
His bond was set at 650,000 dollars. He will appear in General Sessions Court Tuesday.
