Stotts Announces Candidacy For County Mayor

With the local primaries less than a year away, 3rd District County Commissioner Joseph Stotts has announced that he will seek the office of County Executive in 2022. Stotts made the announcement on his Facebook page over the weekend. He told our news department that he and his family have been praying about it and has had several meetings for the past couple of months and has received positive support and is very excited to get campaigning.
Stotts said some of the issues that are most important are supporting small business owners, addressing infrastructure issues and business growth. Also he added that support our volunteer fire department and nursery industries.
Stotts was born in McMinnville and raised in the Morrison and Viola area. He’s a graduate of Warren Co. High School, Motlow and MTSU with a degree in social work. He is married to Mendy Stotts, who is a counselor at the high school and coaches basketball at the middle school. They have 2 chidren: Bowman who is 9 and Lucy Lee is 5.
The local democratic and republican primaries will be held May 3,2022 with the general election in August 2022.
