Unemployment Claims Drop By 1,400

According to the latest data from the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce. There have been 1,181,841 new claims since March of last year. For the week ending May 22, claims went down from the week before from 7,405 to 6,006, a decrease of almost 1,400 from last week. Continued claims decreased from 50,901 to 50,443, down 458 from last week. In Warren Co. there are 339 continued claims, up 6 from last week and 33 initial claims, down 23 from the previous week. White Co. has 149 continued claims, down 1 from last week and 36 initial claims, up 8. Van Buren has 29 continued claims and 4 initial claims.
